What's Included on a Luxury Cruise

Explora Journeys, Regent Seven Seas and Seabourn all describe themselves as all-inclusive, and all three include far more than a mainstream cruise: drinks, gratuities, Wi-Fi and most or all of the dining. Where they differ is ashore, in the air and in the fine print, and those differences can change which line is the better value for your trip. Here is what each line includes today, checked against the lines' own terms.

Explora Journeys

Explora's fare covers unlimited beverages, including fine wines, champagne and premium spirits, anywhere on board and in your suite. Only rare and vintage wines are extra. Gratuities are included.

Nine dining experiences are included, from Marble & Co. Grill and Sakura to in-suite dining. A few signature experiences carry a charge: Anthology, the guest-chef tasting room, The Chef's Kitchen, The Chef's Table and The Cellar.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the ship, on Starlink.

Shore excursions, which Explora calls Destination Experiences, are extra. Port shuttles into town are included where needed. Airfare is not in the standard fare; Explora's separate Sky and Sea fare adds flights, a pre-journey hotel night and transfers.

Explora also has the most relaxed dress code of the three: there are no formal evenings.

Regent Seven Seas

Regent includes the most of the three. The fare covers unlimited shore excursions in every port, every specialty restaurant, unlimited beverages with an in-suite minibar replenished daily, prepaid gratuities, free Wi-Fi on Starlink, access to the spa's facilities, and valet laundry in every suite. Guests in Concierge Suites and above also receive a one-night pre-cruise hotel.

Airfare changed in 2026.Since April 1, 2026, for guests in the United States and Canada, Regent no longer includes airfare. Flights are arranged through Regent's optional Air Concierge service at market prices, and guests who use it receive coach transfers between airport and ship plus up to $500 per suite in private chauffeur credit. Many guides online still say Regent includes air. It no longer does.

A note on “unlimited” excursions: they are booked first come, first served, and higher suite categories and Seven Seas Society members can reserve earlier. Small-group Regent Choice tours carry a supplement. If a particular excursion matters to you, ask your Cruise Advisor to reserve it the day booking opens.

Seabourn

Seabourn's fare covers premium spirits and fine wines at all times, an in-suite bar stocked to your preferences, welcome champagne and complimentary caviar. Every restaurant is included, with no surcharge anywhere. Tipping is neither required nor expected.

Wi-Fi is free for every guest, on Starlink.

Ocean ships and expedition ships differ. On Seabourn Encore, Ovation and Quest, shore excursions are optional and extra, though signature events such as Caviar in the Surf are included. On the expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit, shore experiences are included at every stop: curated excursions, cultural tours, guided Zodiac cruises, hikes, nature walks and snorkeling. Kayaking is extra.

Airfare is not included; Seabourn's optional Flight Ease program arranges flights and transfers.

What “all-inclusive” leaves out on every line

Which line includes the most for your trip?

It depends on how you travel. If you plan to tour in most ports, Regent's included excursions can be worth more than the difference in fare. If you want polar or remote expeditions with everything ashore included, Seabourn's expedition ships are built for it. A Cruise Advisor can compare the full cost of two specific sailings for you, line by line.

Booking with Amazing Cruises, a Virtuoso® Member Agency, can add Virtuoso Voyages amenities on eligible sailings.
