This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on amazingcruises.com, operated by Amazing Cruises, Inc., 1000 5th Street, Suite 200, Miami Beach, FL 33139, United States. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

The short version

We use very few cookies. Some are needed to run the site and keep you signed in. One service, Google Analytics, helps us understand how the site is used, and it runs only if you allow it (or, in some places, until you opt out). We use no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels and no social media plugins, and no ads follow you from this site.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. "Local storage" is a similar browser feature. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.

Cookies we need to run the site

These are strictly necessary. They do not need your consent, and they are never used for analytics or advertising.

  • ac_session (set by Amazing Cruises): Keeps you signed in to My Amazing Cruises. Holds a random token that page scripts cannot read. Set only when you sign in. Lasts: 30 days, or until you sign out.
  • ac_in (set by Amazing Cruises): Tells our pages that you are signed in, so they can show your saved sailings. Contains only "1". Set only when you sign in. Lasts: 30 days, or until you sign out.
  • ac_cm (set by Amazing Cruises): Records which consent rule applies where you are: "ask first" or "notice". Worked out from the country (and, in Canada, the province) of your connection. Contains no personal information. Lasts: 1 day.
  • ac_analytics (local storage) (set by Amazing Cruises): Remembers your analytics choice (accepted, rejected, or notice seen), so we do not ask on every page. Lasts: until you change it or clear your browser data.
  • __cf_bm, cf_clearance (set by Cloudflare): May be set by our hosting and security provider to tell people from automated traffic and to protect the site from attacks. Lasts: 30 minutes (__cf_bm); up to 1 year (cf_clearance).
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (set by Cloudflare): On the sign-in page only, checks that a sign-in request comes from a person. It may read browser and device signals. Lasts: for the sign-in check.
  • CF_Authorization (set by Cloudflare Access): Staff sign-in for our internal pages only. Never set for customers or visitors. Lasts: up to 24 hours.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4)

  • _ga (set by Google Analytics): Distinguishes visitors with a random identifier, so we can count visits and see how people move through the site. Lasts: 13 months.
  • _ga_<ID> (set by Google Analytics): Keeps track of the current visit. Lasts: 13 months.

How we use Google Analytics:

  • Public pages only. Never in My Amazing Cruises or on staff pages.
  • Advertising features off. Google Signals is off, ads personalization is off in every region, and our Analytics account is not linked to Google Ads.
  • No IP addresses stored. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
  • 14 months. Google keeps our analytics data for 14 months.

Your choice, by region

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil and Quebec, or if we cannot tell where you are: we ask first. Google Analytics does not load and sets no cookies unless you choose Accept. Reject is just as easy, and if you reject, the site works exactly the same. If an analytics cookie is somehow present without your consent, we remove it.

Everywhere else, including the United States and the rest of Canada: we show a short notice and Google Analytics runs unless you opt out.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out wherever you are, and Google Analytics does not load.

How to change your mind

  • Use the Your Privacy Choices link at the bottom of every page (in the US, also Cookie options in the cookie notice). If you turn analytics off, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
  • Install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary cookies, signing in to My Amazing Cruises will not work, but you can still browse the site and contact us.

Links to other sites

Links to cruise lines, WhatsApp and other websites take you to sites that set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control them.

Changes

When we change this policy we post the new version here with a new effective date, and keep earlier versions available through the "Previous versions" link.
