Accessibility Statement

Amazing Cruises wants everyone to be able to explore cruises and reach an advisor, including people who use assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We are working toward full conformance and review new features against it before they go live.

What we have done

  • Structured pages. Pages use headings, landmarks and lists in a logical order, so screen readers and other tools can navigate them.
  • Text alternatives. Images we manage carry text descriptions. Purely decorative images are marked so assistive technology skips them.
  • Keyboard access. Menus, the account menu, search, forms and the cookie banner work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator. Menus close with the Escape key.
  • Readable design. Text and controls are chosen for readable contrast, and pages reflow to fit small screens and zoom without sideways scrolling.
  • Clear choices. In the cookie banner, Accept and Reject are the same size and equally easy to reach.
  • Simple sign-in. My Amazing Cruises has no passwords to remember; you sign in with a code or link sent by email.
  • Several ways to reach us. Phone, text, WhatsApp, email and a web form, so no one depends on a single channel.
  • No overlay widgets. We build accessibility into the site itself rather than adding a third-party overlay.

Known limitations

  • Content from cruise lines. Some ship photographs, deck plans and descriptions come from the cruise lines and may not have complete text alternatives. We add descriptions where we can, and an advisor can describe any ship, suite or deck plan to you.
  • Links to other sites. Cruise line websites and WhatsApp are outside our control and follow their own accessibility practices.
